Originating in the 19th Century to keep British soldiers warm with a single accessory. Meant to combine at hat and a scarf into a fitted hood. The Balaclava has since had lots of iterations, but as you might imagine--we prefer the classic shape which frames the face nicely. Ours is done is super soft Himalayan Cashmere making it perfect for those who fear the thought of wool fibers close to the face and neck.
