Midnight Roma Tomato
A deep reddish-purple high-antioxidant plum tomato, the Midnight Roma Tomato from Row 7 is a feast for all senses. In the garden the beautiful purple color dazzles, getting richer in direct sunlight. In the kitchen, we love this purple wonder for its quick cook time and memorable flavor, ideal for producing sauces and pastes with layers of sweetness, acidity and rich umami. Roast them to bring out their sweetness, or chop and add to salsa or salads. Semi-determinate. 80 days to maturity.
Beauregarde Snow Pea
Bred to bring more flavor (and more purple) to purple peas, the high-anthocyanin, wavy-podded Beauregarde Snow Peas hold their vibrant color when cooked. Wait for small peas to develop in the pod to reach full flavor potential. 60-80 days to maturity, depending on planting date
Teagan Lettuce
A succulent, maroon-painted lettuce that’s as resilient as it is beautiful. Row 7's Teagan Lettuce will add serious flavor and delightful crunch to your favorite salads and sandwiches, and holds up nicely to grilling and roasting. Outer leaves are perfect for braising in soups and stews. But patience is key—be sure to let this stunning semi-heading lettuce reach full maturity. 65 days to harvest from seeding. Forms a very large, mostly bronze-leafed head at full maturity. Great as a leaf lettuce when harvested at smaller sizes.
Tetra Squash
This experimental squash was inspired by a walk through the field, and the sight of rows of delicata squash plants bearing still-green fruit, with no time to mature before the frost. Usually, these immature fruit simply go to waste. This sparked culinary epiphany—a multipurpose delicata squash bred for flavor four ways: immature fruit, young stems, blossoms and mature squash.
Habanada Pepper
These seeds trace back to habanero peppers, known for their intense heat, but this line emerged from a natural, heatless mutation discovered in the field. Through years of crossing, selection, and DNA analysis, it was removed the habanero’s burn while preserving its floral, melon-like flavor. The result, Habanada, is aromatic with a lingering sweetness—enjoyable both green and unripe for a burst of aroma, or fully mature as a bright orange, flavor-forward pepper.
Co-founded by renowned chef Dan Barber (Blue Hill at Stone Barns), Row 7 is dedicated to breeding organically grown, non-GMO seeds that prioritize unmatched flavor, nutrition, and sustainability. These exceptional varieties are featured in some of the country’s best restaurants and now you can grow them at home! Designed to thrive in gardens and perform beautifully in your kitchen, we think these will be welcome additions to your growing and cooking experience.
