These French farm pants romantically conjure up images of agricultural work from another era. But nostalgia isn’t the only reason to be drawn to them. The 100% cotton drill is easy to wear casually, while still being as hard wearing as it is hard working. The higher rise and “half balloon” leg make for a nice, relaxed fit, while maintaining a great range of motion. Features a button fly with traditional metal hook closure, ample pockets, and reinforced stitching.

Like all French workwear, the best days are after a few washes. The cotton has softened, color has faded, and the fit has relaxed into your body. We teamed up with Le Laboureur to create this only at Gardenheir patina by stone washing their classics for the lived in feel that could (before) only be found in vintage.

Size & Fit

These trousers feature a relaxed silhouette with a generous cut through the waist and leg. They can be worn in two ways, and your preferred fit may affect the size you choose.

For a contemporary fit worn lower on the hips, many customers find their usual size works best. For the traditional higher rise fit that sits at your natural waist, many customers prefer sizing down one size. Generally, if you’re between sizes, opt for the smaller size.

Featuring a ~30-31” inseam, on taller frames the pants will appear slightly cropped. Alternatively, when worn closer to hips rather than at the natural waist, the perceived inseam length will effectlvey be roughly 3-4” longer.
