Grow the most delicious, delicately pink rhubarb with our English Terracotta Forcer. As featured on The Great Pottery Throwdown, this forcer follows Victorian tradition and is admired for its architectural strength and beauty in the garden. The lack of light creates a sweeter, less acidic crop, making cooking and eating a delight. In addition to rhubarb and other plants that benefit from limited photosynthesis, the forcer can also function as a cloche for growing some fruit and vegetables in colder climates for an early harvest. Discretely decorated with both Gardenheir and Whichford Pottery logos as well as a signature Whichford decorative band.

Each is made by hand in England, using a special mix of local clays, prepared and blended in-house to ensure the highest grade of frostproof terracotta.

Each of our pots have a 10-year frost-proof guarantee. In colder climates where they may be subject to freeze/thaw cycles, we recommend emptying and storing them indoors. If you choose to overwinter your pots outside, cover them and place in a protected area where they are not in contact with bare ground.
