A traditional natural flax twine treated with tar for added resistance to the weather. Originally used aboard ships for whipping and binding natural ropes, tarred twine has long been valued for its strength and durability outdoors. Each substantial 500g ball contains approximately 70m (230 ft.) of twine, providing plenty for a season of garden work.

We were particularly drawn to this twine after seeing this type of dark, weather-resistant garden twine used throughout the English gardens the Gardenheir team toured, including Great Dixter and Sissinghurst. Its dark finish recedes among stems and foliage, making it particularly useful for tying plants, securing supports, and training climbers.
