A handcrafted solid copper hanging guard designed to help keep crawling insects away from hummingbird feeders, no chemicals required. It’s an ingeniously effective solution to the common problem of ants being drawn to sweet nectar.

Made by hand in Arizona from heavy gauge copper, each piece will develop a natural patina over time outdoors. A great pairing with our Blown Glass Hummingbird Feeder, Blown Glass Bubble Hummingbird Feeder, and Blown Glass Top Feeding Hummingbird Feeder.

Suggested Use

  • Fill the copper cup with approximately 1/4" of vegetable oil.
  • Hang above your hummingbird feeder.
  • The oil creates a barrier that crawling insects cannot cross.

Care Instructions

  • Check oil levels periodically and refill as needed.
  • Wipe clean with a soft cloth.
  • Copper will naturally darken and patina outdoors, or can be polished to maintain a brighter finish.
