Founded in 1996 by Benoît Astier de Villatte and Ivan Pericoli—alongside friends from the École des Beaux-Arts—the Paris-based atelier set out to revive the forgotten beauty of decorative arts and overlooked objects. What began as a ceramics workshop soon evolved into something much larger: a letterpress printing house (one of the last in the world to use lead type), a publishing imprint, and a perfume studio. Astier de Villatte began as a quiet exchange between artists and friends, gradually building a devoted cult following—a living archive of craftsmanship where history, artistry, and imagination quietly collide.
