Invite hummingbirds to visit your garden with this beautifully crafted Blown Glass Hummingbird Feeder. Approximately 12” tall, this feeder is not only a functional piece for feeding your feathered friends but also a charming work of art.

Whether you're an experienced bird watcher or a newcomer, this feeder is easy to incorporate into your existing setup or create a new feeding station. Simply hang it in a shaded area or near nectar-producing plants to attract hummingbirds. For best results, set up your feeder in early spring when the birds are migrating. The feeder should not be in direct sunlight, which causes expansion and can lead to dripping.

    Nectar Recipe and Instructions

Mix one part sugar to four parts water, boiled then cooled. (No need to add red dye as the birds will be attracted to the included red tip). Don't substitute honey for sugar.

Fill the feeder with the cooled mixture and store any leftover formula in the refrigerator.

Be aware that direct sunlight and heat may cause leakage, so it is best to hang feeders in shaded areas. This feeder is made of heat-resistant glass and can be cleaned by partially immersing in boiling water.

Recommendations to remedy/reduce any dripping from the feeding tube

Always fill the feeder almost completely, leaving just enough room for the cork. This helps create back-suction to reduce dripping. Nectar should always be cool before filling.

Make sure the feeder tube is inserted all the way into the rubber stopper. The end of the tube should be flush with the small end of the stopper. The stopper should be inserted tightly into the feeder.

The feeder should not be in direct sunlight, which causes expansion and can lead to dripping.

Giving a bit more bend to the plastic tube can help. Remove and warm the tube in hot water or with a blowdryer. Bend the tube enough to constrict the passageway slightly at the bend, but not not enough to close it.
