Developed over five years in collaboration with fruit growers and landscapers, the Rakunandesu Anvil Pruner by Gyokucho reflects their understanding of the physical demands of garden work. 

“Rakunandesu”, loosely translated as it’s so easy, speaks to the intention: to make the work more approachable without compromising performance.

The anvil-style design concentrates force at the cutting point, requiring less effort than traditional bypass pruners while reducing strain on the hand and wrist. The result is a clean, controlled cut with less fatigue, well suited for extended use.

Fully adjustable to the user, the pruner allows you to tailor both the opening width and spring tension, creating a more natural fit in hand. Whether working with smaller stems or thicker branches, it adapts to your grip and pace.

The blade is impulse-hardened, SK5 steel for long-lasting sharpness and easily replaceable with a single screw, paired here with a replacement blade set for extended use. Built from lightweight aluminum with an elastomer grip, it remains comfortable and reliable through repeated work; great for those with tendinitis.
